Deputy Prime Minister for the reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk.
"Today once again Russia has foiled an attempt to evacuate Ukrainian citizens from the most dangerous cities where hostilities are taking place," the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration said in a statement.
It is noted that despite the agreements reached, Russia constantly violates the regime of silence and does not allow the removal of people by humanitarian corridors.
"Russia has taken our citizens hostage and is covering them as a human shield. At the same time, the world is watching in silence!" the press service of the department quoted Vereshchuk as saying.
According to her, the Ukrainian side has at least two options for evacuation from Mariupol in reserve: to take people by land, breaking through from Mariupol to Zaporozhye (this route is submitted for consideration to the Red Cross); to evacuate residents of the surrounded city through the sea.
