Breaking diplomatic relations with Ukraine will only complicate the situation. Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said this in response to questions from journalists, commenting on a related statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"Certainly, breaking off diplomatic relations is an extremely undesirable scenario that will make things even more complicated, and most importantly, not only for the states, but also for the peoples of the two countries," Peskov stressed.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation said that it did not want to break off diplomatic relations with Ukraine. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said this.
"We are not thinking about such a decision, it is not our choice," Rudenko said.
