Poland initiated an urgent EU summit and new sanctions against Russia

The head of the Polish government called Putin's decision to recognize the self-proclaimed "republics" the final refusal of dialogue.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki called Russia's recognition of the independence of the terrorist LPR and DPR an act of aggression against Ukraine and called for an urgent EU summit and sanctions against Russia.

"The decision to recognize the self-proclaimed 'republics' is the final refusal of dialogue and a blatant violation of international law. This is an act of aggression against Ukraine, which must be followed by an unambiguous response in the form of immediate sanctions," Morawiecki wrote on Twitter.

"I call for an urgent meeting of the European Union on this issue," added the head of the Polish government.

Recall that on the evening of February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an address after a meeting of the Russian Security Council, in the final of which he said that he had made a decision to recognize the LDPR.
