Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba held a telephone conversation with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell. This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry.

"The interlocutors discussed the preparation of sanctions against the Russian Federation to restrain it from implementing aggressive plans against Ukraine and Europe. The minister and the EU high representative paid special attention to the prospects of promoting a diplomatic settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict," the statement said.

Borrell confirmed that there were no intentions to evacuate family members and employees of the EU representation to Ukraine for the time being.

In addition, the head of the European diplomacy informed the Ukrainian minister about the results of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting. Borrell invited Kuleba to take part in the next Council meeting.
