The State Migration Service of Ukraine constantly works with natives of countries where there is a civil war or certain internal conflicts. Protection is provided to foreigners and stateless persons who need it. This was announced by the head of the State Migration Service of Ukraine, Natalia Naumenko.
According to her, 546 citizens of Afghanistan, 104 citizens of Belarus, 78 citizens of the Russian Federation and 38 citizens of Syria applied to the migration bodies with an application for refugee status or a person in need of subsidiary protection.
During the year, in accordance with the decisions of the SMS, 106 citizens of Afghanistan, 24 citizens of Belarus, 68 citizens of Russia, 58 citizens of Syria were recognized as refugees or persons in need of complementary protection, Naumenko said.
"That is, we provide protection to foreigners and stateless persons who need it," added the head of the State Migration Service.
Recall, according to Derzhstat, in January-October 2021, migration growth in Ukraine was 15,473 people (in 2020 - 6,852).
