Today, on December 14, the European Parliament will debate the situation on the border between Ukraine and Russia. This was reported on Twitter by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the EU Vsevolod Chentsov, writes UNN.
"Congratulations on the decision of the European Parliament to hold a debate on 14.12 on the situation on the Ukrainian border and Russian-occupied territories. We are counting on strong signals of support," Chentsov wrote.
According to the ambassador, only a consolidated international position can stop the aggressor, and Russia must be aware of the grave consequences of further aggression.
A vote on the issue is scheduled for December 16, according to the EP website.
It should be noted that earlier EU High Representative Josep Borrel said that the situation regarding the build-up of Russian troops near the Ukrainian border will be discussed at a meeting of the European Council on Thursday, December 16.
