The total public debt of Ukraine in UAH at the end of September 2021 decreased by 39.8 billion UAH and amounted to 2.44 trillion UAH. In dollars the amount has decreased by $510 million to $92.02 billion, according to UBR.
Direct national debt decreased by 31.1 billion UAH, while the guaranteed national debt decreased by 8.7 billion UAH, according to the Ministry of Finance.
Public debt at the end of September amounted to UAH 2.16 trillion, or $81.61 billion:
state domestic debt (SDD) - 45.5%;
External public debt (loans, Eurobonds, etc.) - 54.5%.
The report indicates that last month the agency held 23 auctions for placement of government bonds, the state budget received 20.7 billion UAH. Also Ukraine received almost 38 billion UAH as SDR of the IMF.
"In September 2021, the Ministry of Finance redeemed the third series of external government bonds issued during the restructuring in 2015, as well as the third and last issue of external government bonds guaranteed by the United States. The total amount of payments on these instruments amounted to more than $2.3 billion," the ministry said.
In total, in January-September 2021, state debt repayment payments reached 357.4 billion UAH, service payments - 110.1 billion UAH.
We shall remind you that in 2021 it is planned to spend UAH 148bn on servicing the national debt of Ukraine. At the same time, the planned growth of the debt is about 233bn hryvnyas.
