Ukraine and the European Union have successfully completed the first stage of screening Ukrainian legislation for compliance with European standards. Preparations are underway for the next stage of the process, which will include bilateral meetings between the parties. The Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Olga Stefanishyna, announced the completion of the first stage of the screening on her Facebook page.
She noted that after the completion of this stage, a delegation from the European Commission arrived in Ukraine to take part in the next stages of the process.
During the talks, the methods and approaches to the next assessment of Ukrainian legislation were discussed, as well as expectations from the Ukrainian side.
