Ukraine will receive a new military aid package from the United States in the coming weeks. This was stated by White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan during a briefing.
“I think we can expect announcements in the coming weeks about the further supply of significant capacity to Ukraine,” the adviser said.
Sullivan said that Ukraine was “in a hole” because of delays in sending US military aid. But, according to the White House adviser, Ukraine is “strengthening the lines” in key places, including stopping Russia's offensive north of Kharkiv.
He added that the weapons that have been arriving on the battlefield over the past few days and weeks “have affected the situation at the front.”
The adviser also confirmed that Biden will meet with Zelensky twice - this week in France, on the 80th anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy. And a week later, in Italy at the G7 summit.
