Russia has threatened a nuclear strike on Ukraine and NATO countries if Western weapons are used on Russian territory. This statement was made by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.
He said that the West is mistaken if it believes that Russia will not dare to use nuclear weapons.
“And no matter how much retired NATO farts talk about how Russia will never use non-strategic nuclear weapons against Ukraine, let alone individual NATO countries, life is much more frightening than their frivolous considerations. A few years ago, they claimed that Russia would not engage in an open military conflict with the Bandera regime in order to avoid falling out with the West. They miscalculated. There is a war going on. They may also miscalculate the use of nuclear weapons. Although this will be a fatal mistake. After all, as the Russian president rightly noted, European countries have a very high population density. And for those hostile countries whose lands are further than the TNW coverage area, there is finally a strategic potential,” Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel.
He stated that this is “not intimidation and not a nuclear bluff” because “the current military conflict with the West is developing according to the worst-case scenario,” “there is a constant escalation of the power of the NATO weapons used,” and therefore “no one can rule out the transition of the conflict to its last stage today.”
