A dust storm from Central Asia is coming to Ukraine again: details

Ukraine may again be covered with dust from the desert regions of Central Asia. Sandy dust storms and rains containing sand are possible. This was reported by weather forecaster Ihor Kybalchich.

These changes will be recorded on May 27 and 28 in most of Ukraine, but with different intensity, depending on air flows and other natural phenomena.

According to the forecaster, this dust storm may lead to: clouding of the sky; a slight deterioration in visibility; and mild “dirty” rains.

“Due to a significant precipitation deficit, an extraordinary level of fire hazard (class V) will remain in most regions of the country... weather conditions will be determined by the influence of a high atmospheric pressure field and an air mass of Central Asian origin. Gradually, closer to the weekend, the atmospheric pressure will decrease, which will lead to more unstable weather with rains and thunderstorms which will have a local character,” Kybalchich said.
