Polish farmers blocked truck traffic at the Dołhobyczów-Uhryniv checkpoint. This was reported by the press service of the State Customs Service.
It is stated that the protest will be short and will last from 09:00 to 16:00 today, May 10. During this time, freight traffic will be blocked both to the entrance and to the exit from Ukraine.
“Passenger buses and cars will be able to cross the border without any obstacles,” the statement said.
The blocking of the border is connected with the protests of farmers in Poland who oppose the EU's “green course”.
Agropolska reports that a group of farmers from the Orka Agricultural Union started a protest in the Sejm on Thursday, May 9. A large demonstration of farmers is planned for today in Warsaw and other cities. The protesters' slogans include a ban on opening the border for products from Ukraine.
It should be noted that border crossings on the Ukrainian-Polish border have been working as usual since April 29, when the blockade was lifted from the last checkpoint “Rava-Ruska - Hrebenne”.
