Norway will increase support for Ukraine: $600 million for air defense and humanitarian aid

In 2024, the Norwegian government will allocate an additional $600 million to strengthen Ukraine's air defense and humanitarian aid. This was stated by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, VG reports.

According to the publication, on April 30, the Norwegian parliament supported an increase in aid to Ukraine in 2024.

Later, the Norwegian Prime Minister clarified that another 7 billion Norwegian kroner (more than $600 million) will be provided to help the Ukrainian state.

“The situation in Ukraine is more serious and more uncertain,” the Prime Minister said.

He also suggested that Norway could increase the Nansen program, which has allocated NOK 75 billion (almost $7 billion) for five years to help Ukraine.
