The Americans are preparing to announce the largest aid package to Kyiv, worth $6 billion. However, it is not about quick deliveries, but about the long-term perspective, Politico reports.

The publication's sources report that the US will announce this package today, April 26.

Politico writes that the package will include Patriot air defense systems, artillery ammunition, drones, anti-drone weapons, and air-to-air missiles to be installed on fighter jets.

According to the publication, the equipment is likely to arrive in Ukraine for several years, as the money is allocated under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), which issues contracts to American defense firms to manufacture new equipment rather than taking it from current US stocks.
