Kyiv plans to repair the tunnel between two metro stations: will train traffic be stopped

Kyiv plans to overhaul the tunnel between Pochayna and Taras Shevchenko metro stations. They are not going to stop the trains completely. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration.

According to the report, Pochayna and Taras Shevchenko metro stations were commissioned in 1980 and require scheduled major repairs of a part of the tunnel section.

"The overhaul of the tunnels between these stations, which was planned in advance, will be carried out without stopping the movement of trains. The final design decisions will be determined after the state examination," the press service said.

The KCSA added that currently these stations and transfer tunnels are operating as usual for passenger transportation and for round-the-clock sheltering of the population during air raids.

"The Kyiv Metro will inform passengers in advance about the start of repairs and other works that may affect the subway's operation," the press service added.
