Up to 30 KABs are dropped per day: Russia doesn't stop trying to capture Chasiv Yar

The Russian Federation continues its attempts to capture the city of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region. However, the situation is controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops, said this on the air of a national telethon.

According to him, the situation around the city is currently quite difficult. The enemy is trying to reach the administrative borders of Donetsk region by any means. However, the Defense Forces are in control of the situation.

"There is no enemy in the city. The enemy is still using its air superiority, missiles and large-caliber artillery ammunition, trying to conduct assault operations," said Voloshyn.

He also said that the Russians are using their usual tactics - bombarding the city with KABs, destroying civilian infrastructure. The Russians are trying to completely destroy the city in order to take control of the "piles of dust".

"In total, about 20 to 30 bombs, sometimes more, are dropped by Russian aviation on the positions of Ukrainian defenders and civilian infrastructure per day," the spokesman said.
