Parents with many children will be deprived of deferment from mobilization for non-payment of alimony

Parents with many children will lose deferral from mobilization for non-payment of alimony. This provision is enshrined in the law on mobilization, which comes into force on May 18.

Currently, parents of three or more children are entitled to a deferment from military service. However, the deferment may be canceled if they fail to pay alimony for three months.

The TCCs will have access to the debt database to verify this information.

The Ministry of Justice estimates this potential mobilization resource at 20,000 people. At the same time, the Ministry believes that mobilization is not a punishment, but an opportunity to pay off their debts and provide for their children by serving in the army with fairly high salaries.
