President Volodymyr Zelensky and his Latvian counterpart Edgars Rinkēvičs have signed a bilateral security agreement between the countries. This was reported by the President's Telegram channel.
According to the agreement:
- Latvia will provide Ukraine with military aid worth 0.25% of GDP annually;
- Latvia will make a 10-year commitment to support Ukraine in cyber defense, demining, and unmanned technologies.
The country will also facilitate Ukraine's accession to the European Union and NATO.
"I am grateful to friendly Latvia! This is exactly the specificity and predictability that our struggle for freedom and independence requires," the President said.
