Russian President Vladimir Putin will never be able to conquer Ukraine, and Kyiv will not fall into Russian hands. This was stated by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken during a briefing.

When asked whether the United States could promise that Kyiv would never fall into Russian hands, Blinken said: "I am convinced that we have already done that. In other words, it is not happening, it will never happen."

The US Secretary of State confirmed that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Washington had allowed for the possibility of Kyiv's "fall." However, now the US is confident that this will not happen.

"But thanks to the incredible resistance of the Ukrainian people, as well as the support provided by the United States, France and other countries, Putin's desire to conquer the entire country, to wipe it off the map, to make it part of Greater Russia has not and will not come true," he said.
