Amendments on "economic reservation" were rejected by the Rada Committee on National Security, - MP Kopytin

Proposals for an "economic reservation" from mobilization were rejected during consideration by the National Security Committee. This was reported by MP from the Servant of the People party Ihor Kopytin.

The discussion took place on March 25. According to Kopytin, there were some proposals to reserve people who receive a certain salary and pay taxes, but they were rejected "even without discussion."

"The purpose of the draft law is to establish socially fair mobilization. The actual essence of such amendments would be the principle of 'war for the poor'. And this is unacceptable," the MP explained.

The MP suggested that these amendments could still be put to a vote in the session hall during the second reading of the draft law.

"Perhaps the authors of these amendments will be able to initiate their consideration in the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada during the second reading," Kopytin added.
