On March 26, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal spoke with British Foreign Secretary David Cameron. In particular, they discussed mechanisms of confiscation of Russian assets. This was reported in the Prime Minister's Telegram.
The parties discussed the creation of an international group with the participation of Ukraine to work on the legal aspects of the confiscation of Russian assets.
Shmyhal emphasized the need to create an International Compensation Commission and a compensation fund, and noted that all frozen Russian assets should be used for the needs of Ukraine.
The meeting also discussed the escalation of Russian attacks on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure and the need for assistance.
Shmyhal expressed gratitude to Cameron for his active support and personal involvement in the process of confiscation of Russian assets. He also expressed gratitude for the significant amount of aid provided and the signing of a security agreement with Ukraine, which contributes to the strengthening of friendly relations between the countries.
