Polish protesters began blocking bus traffic at one of the checkpoints on the border with Ukraine. This is the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint. This was reported by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko.
Ukrainian border guards were informed by their Polish colleagues about the blocking of passenger buses by protesters.
The restriction of bus traffic began today at about 11:10. The organizers of such actions are blocking traffic on the road in front of the Medyka checkpoint, adjacent to the Ukrainian Shehyni checkpoint.
The Polish protesters plan to let only one bus per two hours to enter and exit Ukraine. It is not yet known when the blockade will end.
"We ask carriers and citizens planning a trip across the Ukrainian-Polish border to take this information into account. The resumption of the rhythmic movement of passenger buses at the Shehyni checkpoint will be announced additionally on the resources of the State Border Guard Service," the spokesman said.
