Over the two years of full-scale war, the number of Ukrainians who believe that the West is "tired" of Ukraine has more than doubled. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.
In 2022, 15% of respondents believed that Western allies were "tired" of the Russian-Ukrainian war. At the same time, these 15% believed that the West would like Ukraine to make concessions to Russia.
At the beginning of October 2023, the number of people with this opinion increased to 30%, and in February 2024, the number of such Ukrainians increased to 44%.
KIIS has learned that in all regions of Ukraine, the share of those who feel that the West is getting tired and its support is weak has increased significantly.
In particular, in the South and East - regions closer to the war zone - there are more people who believe that the West is getting tired of Ukraine and wants to pressure for concessions.
The KIIS poll was conducted on February 17-23, 2024 among 1,052 respondents.
