Poland threatens additional restrictions on agricultural exports from Ukraine

Poland may further restrict agricultural exports from Ukraine. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Michał Kołodziejczak on Polsat News.

He noted that today, February 21, "further talks will be held with Ukrainian Minister Solskyi. He is headed by our Minister Siekierski. Let's see how the Ukrainians will behave, what policy they will pursue regarding exports to Poland, whether they will want to reach an agreement."

He said that "the ball is in Ukraine's court." And that if the negotiations fail, the Polish government will impose additional restrictions.

Kołodziejczak believes that the protests on the border with Ukraine "indicate the extent of discontent in Polish villages caused by poor agricultural policy over the years."

At the same time, a representative of the Polish government commented harshly on the Ukrainian president's statement about the border blockade.

"This is also an action that clearly shows what Ukraine is doing today. I am saying this clearly, I appealed to President Zelensky: focus on your policy, you also have problems in your country," Kołodziejczak said.

It should be noted that on Tuesday, Minister of Development and Technology Krzysztof Hetman said on the air that "there may be no solution and an embargo on all agricultural goods from Ukraine will have to be imposed."
