Russia has once again declared its readiness for negotiations on Ukraine. This statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a government hour in the State Duma, according to Russian media.


"Russia is ready for a political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict in Ukraine based on the realities on the ground," Lavrov said.


However, he believes that "given the current position of the West, there are no options to reach an agreement on the issue of Ukraine."


It should be noted that recently, Russian representatives increasingly talk about their readiness to negotiate "taking into account the realities on the ground," i.e., with Russia retaining the captured territories.
