The government has decided to open the code for the Diia mobile app to developers from other countries, the Ministry of Digital Transformation reported.
"We are opening the code of Diia. The government has adopted a resolution. Now developers from other countries will be able to use the Diia code and create their own applications based on it. Foreign colleagues will see how high-quality government products we create," the ministry said in a statement.
It is noted that thanks to the open source, everyone will be able to verify the transparency of Diia, evaluate the logic of the application and suggest changes that will help the team improve it.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation emphasized that not everyone will be able to access the data and that the personal data of Ukrainians will be kept safe. A test space will be created without access to the registers with simulated information retrieval, so Ukrainians' data will remain completely safe.
