At the annual session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Copenhagen, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that the kingdom is working to expand the coalition of countries to send Western F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, Sky News reports.
Calling on NATO countries to send combat aircraft to Ukraine, Frederiksen said that "as long as Ukrainians are willing to continue the fight for freedom, Allies should dare and give a promise that the transatlantic community will not succumb to conflict fatigue."
"We must stand with Ukraine to the end. None of us can claim to be tired of the war as long as Ukraine continues its tireless struggle. Let's decide that there will be no war fatigue in our transatlantic community," she said.
According to the Danish prime minister, Vladimir Putin miscalculated, thinking that NATO's words of support for Ukraine "will remain just words," but instead "Ukrainian soldiers are fighting with our weapons, our tanks, our missiles, and soon Ukraine will also be flying our F-16s."
