F-16 fighters may be used by Ukraine as early as spring 2024. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov in an interview with Bild.

"I would say that this (the appearance of F-16s at the front - ed.) may happen next spring, because we have started training courses for our pilots, engineers and technicians," the minister said.

Reznikov emphasized that it also takes time to prepare the infrastructure.

"It should take at least six months, and maybe a little longer," he said.

Oleksiy Reznikov emphasized that the arrival of F-16 fighters at the front could significantly change the dynamics of military operations.

"We have to put an end to Russia's dominance in the sky, beyond the battlefield. F-16s will become part of our air defense. We can strengthen our capabilities in the sky to protect our airspace, that is, our cities. This would be a major breakthrough for us. A very big one," the minister emphasized.
