Reznikov apologized to Turkey for comparing Ukraine's losses with victims of earthquakes

Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov apologized for his words about Ukraine's losses in the war and comparing their number with the number of victims of earthquakes in Turkey.

This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Defense on Twitter.

Reznikov said he apologizes to everyone in Ukraine and Turkey who was offended by his comments about the losses.

"Ukrainians sympathize with the Turkish people. We understand what it's like to hide thousands of innocent people - friends and neighbors," the minister emphasized.

The head of the Ministry of Defense thanked Turkey for its support to Ukraine and its firm position on Crimea.

We will remind, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov in an interview with the Spanish newspaper La Razon estimated the total losses of Ukraine in the war. He noted that they are less than the number of people killed in earthquakes in Turkey.

It is worth noting that more than 50 thousand people died as a result of a series of earthquakes in Turkey.
