The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, stated the need to continue the grain agreement. This is stated in the statement of the office of the Turkish leader.

 Erdogan said that Turkey continues to take the necessary initiatives before all parties to solve the problems related to the implementation of the Istanbul Memorandum on the supply of grain.

 "Declaring that he is confident that they will establish cooperation aimed at resolving this issue, as well as many other issues, President Erdogan said that if the grain crisis can be resolved constructively, it will also encourage steps to be taken to return to negotiations," the statement said.
