Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which the number of the Russian army increases to 1.15 million people. It will enter into force in 2023. The corresponding decree was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

 

 "To establish the full-time strength of the armed forces of the Russian Federation in the amount of 2,039,758 units, including 1,150,628 servicemen. The Government of the Russian Federation shall provide for the allocation of budgetary allocations from the federal budget to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, necessary for the implementation of item 1 (the item that provides for an increase.)". - says the decree.

 

 The decree will enter into force on January 1, 2023.

 

 It is worth noting that earlier the number of the armed forces of the Russian Federation amounted to more than 1.9 million units, including slightly more than 1 million servicemen.
