The meeting of the extraordinary Council of the State Duma of Russia will be held on August 25. It will consider a statement on the situation in Ukraine. This was stated by the leader of the "Just Russia - For the Truth" party, Serhii Mironov, after a meeting with the Speaker of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, UP reports.

 "The leaders of the factions together with the chairman will meet again, and roughly at 3:00 p.m., we will convene the Council of the Duma, at which our tough statement will be adopted," the politician said.

 According to Myronov, the message will be addressed to the UN and other international organizations.

 As a reminder, August 24 will be exactly six months since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
