The Rada officially calls for condemnation of Russia's nuclear terrorism at the Zaporizhia NPP - resolution

The Verkhovna Rada urges the UN, the EU, the European Council, the OSCE, parliaments and governments of the IAEA member states to condemn the act of nuclear terrorism, which Russia is carrying out on the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant. This is stated in the relevant decree, which was supported by 301 MPs.

The Rada has urged the international cooperation to impose sanctions against the entire Russian nuclear industry, in particular against the state corporation Rosatom, as well as enterprises and organizations that are part of its composition. Restrictions should also be imposed on Russian individuals who are executives of Rosatom and its subsidiaries.

The NDPs appeal to the parliaments and governments of the member countries of the International Atomic Energy Agency to appeal to the General Conference of IAEA to terminate the privileges and rights of the Russian Federation as a member of the Agency, and deprive Russia of the right to vote at meetings of the IAEA Board of Managers and the right to participate in cooperation programs.

It is also necessary to send a joint UN and IAEA safe mission to the Zaporizhzhya NPP for further demilitarization of the plant and withdrawal of Russian troops and equipment from the plant and all adjacent territory, including Energodar.
