The Ukrainian military was not involved in the shelling of temporarily occupied Donetsk. Russian troops or fighters of pseudo-republics could be behind it.
Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President, said this on the Breakfast Show.
Podolyak explained that the AFU has the task of destroying enemy ammunition and fuel depots, as well as operational and tactical headquarters. He blamed the shelling of Donetsk on occupation troops.
"Only the Russians themselves or the "people's militia" corps of the unrecognized criminal "republics" are hitting Donetsk. It makes no sense for us to strike at any events in Donetsk," Podolyak noted.
He added that Ukrainian defenders fight effectively and creatively, and such strikes are demonstrative and "do not solve any problems."
Recall, today in the center of Donetsk there were explosions near the Donbas Palace hotel. Nearby, there was a ceremony to say goodbye to the terrorist "Korsa", who was killed at the front.
