German Foreign Minister: Lavrov's new threats to Ukraine are just more propaganda

Russia's claims that Western arms deliveries to Ukraine were the reason for Moscow's decision to "expand the geography" of the war of aggression are nothing more than propaganda.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said this in an interview with Deutsche Welle.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday that Moscow's military goals in Ukraine "now extend beyond Donbas," with Moscow targeting the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions.

He added that Russia's targets will expand if the West continues to deliver long-range weapons to Kyiv, like the highly mobile HIMARS artillery missile systems.

"This is new propaganda from the Russian side. Russia uses a different argument every time. This time they talk because of military support. But they attacked Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine before," Berbok said.
