Erdogan urged Putin to ensure a "grain corridor"

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. And urged him to provide a "grain corridor" for the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea. This was reported by TRT Haber.

 

Reportedly, the situation in Syria, as well as the Russian-Ukrainian war were discussed. 

 

"Erdoğan said it is time to act on the UN plan to create safe corridors for grain exports in the Black Sea," the report said.

 

He also reiterated that the war between Russia and Ukraine must be ended by fair negotiations.
