British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss called for a doubling of aid to Ukraine. Then Kiev will be able to negotiate from a position of strength. The head of the British diplomatic office said this on Twitter.
"Now is the time to redouble efforts and ensure that Ukraine defeats Russia so that President Zelensky can negotiate from a position of strength," Truss wrote after the Ukrainian leader spoke at the NATO summit.
She also added that the West remains in solidarity with Ukraine's fight for freedom.
Inspiring to have @ZelenskyyUa at the #NATOSummit today. We stand in solidarity with Ukraine’s fight for freedom and self-determination. Now is the time to double down and ensure Ukraine defeats Russia so President Zelenskyy can negotiate from a position of strength. pic.twitter.com/RBNCrDI0iF
