The head of the Servant of the People faction David Arahamia says he has not persuaded the European Union not to grant Georgia the EU candidate status, as stated by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
In his Telegram, Arahamia called Garibashvili's words a "blatant fake" and a "provocation. He noted that he did not go to Europe, but in the U.S. justified the concept that "a pro-Russian oligarch" and former Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili "has a puppet government and, in fact, is framing ordinary Georgian people who want to go to Europe."
"The recent numerous rally (in Tbilisi in support of European integration. - Ed.) clearly showed that Georgians, - is part of Europe, everyone wants to be part of the EU. We, as Ukraine, as the government of Ukraine, will help Georgia to become an EU member as much as possible," Arahamia said.
He called not to pay attention to "throws and fakes of the Georgian government. Arahamia also believes that Georgians "have become hostages of one oligarch."
"Georgians, hold on, I am sure we have a great future together inside Europe," he concluded.
