Cabinet suspends state regulation of gasoline and diesel prices

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has suspended state regulation of gasoline and diesel fuel prices. The decision was taken to saturate the market.

This has become known from the promulgated resolution No. 594 of May 17, 2022.

State regulation of prices has been in force in Ukraine since May 2021. In recent weeks, there has been an acute shortage of fuel in Ukraine, and the discrepancy between the fixed price set by the government and the market has led to a black market.

Thus, taking into account the maximum markups, the cost of gasoline at gas stations could not exceed 39.86 hryvnia per liter, diesel fuel - 42.31 hryvnia per liter. However, gasoline could be bought for 60 hryvnias or more.
