European Commission proposed to cancel duties on goods from Ukraine - Shmygal

Prime Minister Denys Shmygal has confirmed the intention of the European Union to abolish all duties and quotas on the export of Ukrainian goods.

The prime minister announced the proposal of the European Commission to suspend all restrictions on imports of Ukrainian goods to the EU for a year. This gesture of support should support the Ukrainian economy.

"The EU has never before taken such large-scale measures to liberalize trade with any country. It opens more opportunities for our business and our products become more competitive on the European market," Shmygal said.

The Cabinet of Ministers has reached preliminary agreements and continues to negotiate with Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Germany and several other countries on the use of ports to organize exports. The government will also work on duty waivers and other allies.
