For the Ukrainians, which because of the war had to leave to the countries of the European Economic Area (EEA), the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance has launched a cryptocurrency card Binance Refugee.
This was announced by the press service of Binance.
Thanks to the issued card displaced Ukrainians will be able to make and receive cryptocurrency payments, pay for their purchases in stores of the European Economic Area, Ukrainians will also be able to receive help from Binance and other charities.
Displaced Ukrainians who have been vetted by local nonprofit organizations and applied for a cryptocurrency card will receive 75 BUSD, equivalent to $75 per month for three months - in line with UNHCR's recommended donation level. The BUSD cryptocurrency is automatically converted to local currency when you pay with the card.
Getting and using the card is free. To receive it, Ukrainians must use an existing account that is registered in Ukraine, or register a new Binance account with a Ukrainian home address, even if living in another country. All users will be required to pass a full KYC check.
