U.S. President Joe Biden states that Russian President Vladimir Putin failed to realize his ambitions of an invader of Ukrainian territory.

"Putin failed to realize his grand ambitions on the battlefield.

President Zelensky and his democratically elected government remain in power, and the Ukrainian armed forces, joined by brave Ukrainian citizens, prevented Russia from conquering their country," the American leader wrote on social media.
