Because of sanctions pressure, Russia's default becomes a matter of weeks, not months. Western partners intend to tighten sanctions. Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced this in a new video message.

"The ports of all European Union countries have stopped servicing Russian ships. Also EU countries finally start discussing the oil embargo and tougher sanctions against Sberbank. These decisions are needed as soon as possible, these decisions will help stop the war. Default on Russia is becoming a matter of weeks, not even months," noted Shmygal.
