Interior Ministry: in the near future a list of relevant roadblocks will be created

Currently, the National Police of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with the territorial defense with the support of relevant ministries, are optimizing the number of roadblocks on the roads. As a result, a list of relevant roadblocks will be created in the near future. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky in a video message.

So according to the minister, he is approached with complaints that there are too many checkpoints on the roads and this makes it difficult to evacuate people from areas of active hostilities and the delivery of humanitarian aid.

"Checkpoints are designed to protect important roads that lead to cities and towns and important infrastructure facilities. Checkpoints control the movement of vehicles and people. Therefore, in wartime there is no way to do without them.

So far, the National Police of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with the territorial defense with the support of relevant ministries, are optimizing the number of roadblocks," Monastyrsky said.

He said that he considers it reasonable to check documents and vehicles at the entrances to cities. At the same time on the way out check will be only selective.

"Therefore, in the near future, a list of relevant checkpoints will be created. All the checkpoints that are not in this list will be removed," the minister added.

According to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, this will improve the movement of traffic flows within the country. This will save time, fuel, energy and nerves of people.

"Who will have problems passing through checkpoints - call 102. Hang in there! We will definitely win," he added.
