Facebook officially blocked in Russia - Roskomnadzor

Roskomnadzor made a decision to block Facebook on the territory of the Russian Federation, the agency said.

"On March 4, 2022 it was decided to block access to Facebook on the territory of the Russian Federation," the report said.

According to Roskomnadzor "since October 2020 there have been 26 cases of discrimination against Russian media and information resources by Facebook."

In recent days, a number of independent media outlets in Russia have been restricted due to their coverage of the war in Ukraine: the BBC, Meduza, Radio Liberty, Deutsche Welle, and Echo of Moscow.
