Putin called the attack on Ukraine a "forced measure"

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia's attack on Ukraine is a forced measure, reports Korrespondent.

"This is the most important thing to make it clear: what is happening (in Ukraine) is a forced measure. We were simply left with no chance to do otherwise," Putin said at a meeting with representatives of business circles.

Putin also said that Russia remains part of the global economy.

"We are not going to damage the system in which we ourselves are. Our partners must understand that," he said.
