Head of the Office of the President Andrei Yermak discussed the situation around the Ukrainian borders with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Karen Donfried, the Korrespondent reports.

"I am glad that relations and communication between our countries have become even more regular and have reached a qualitatively new level. I just talked with Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Karen Donfried," Yermak informed on Twitter.

The parties discussed the current situation around Ukrainian borders and security aspects.

"It is important that Ukraine and the United States are always in constant contact, as should be the case with true strategic partners and friends," Yermak noted.
