The secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, has said that Ukrainian intelligence reports about 600,000 Russians transported to the occupied Crimea.

This was reported by the publication "Krym Realii".

"According to our intelligence, they have already brought there more than 600 thousand citizens of the Russian Federation, settled the territory of Crimea," he said during the online conference Ukraine - USA.

According to Danilov, Russia is creating a bridgehead for influence in the region.

"What they went into Crimea for, that's what they are doing - a bridgehead, in order to have full influence in that particular region. There is a complete rearmament going on right now. There are constantly taking place exercises," notes the secretary of the National Security and Defence Council.

According to the newspaper, Sevastopol is most actively inhabited by Russians. Rosstat calls the city a leader in population growth among Russian regions in 2018-2020.

According to this service, officially over the past three years, the population of Sevastopol has grown by 16.8%.

Russia also began a census on the territory of occupied Crimea. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called on the international community to condemn and not recognize it.

As a reminder, the illegitimate president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, allegedly said that "the peninsula of Crimea is Russian territory," and now he is waiting for an invitation from the Russian side to Crimea with specific timeframes.
