On Tuesday, May 14, power limitation schedules for industrial consumers will be in effect from 16:00 to 7:00 the next morning, i.e. 15 hours in a row. This was reported by Ukrenergo.
As of 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, consumption increased by 4.5% compared to the same time on Monday, May 13, due to the cold weather.
“There is a significant shortage of electricity in the power system for most of the day. The reason is large-scale damage to Ukrainian power plants, which means they cannot produce as much electricity as before the attack,” the company said.
According to Ukrenergo, as of the morning of May 14, 421 settlements in Ukraine were without electricity.
Due to hostilities, there are new blackouts in Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv and Kherson regions, and for technical reasons in Kyiv region.
