Passport issuance abroad has been resumed: work in test mode

The Passport Service has resumed issuing ready-made documents abroad, but in a testing mode. This news was published on the Facebook page of the Passport Service Citizen Service Center.

The Passport Service's message states that in order to prevent overloading the system and avoid repeated technical problems, documents will be issued primarily in favor of socially vulnerable citizens, after receiving a second SMS message about the readiness of passports for issuance.

Persons waiting to receive ready-made documents are advised to comply with the following requirements:

  • have an SMS message about the readiness of the passport;
  • have a document confirming the applicant's identity, including an electronic passport in the Diia application;
  • undergo the verification procedure and check personal data.
